
Lucknow, 21 Aug (HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi
Adityanath received Kotaro Nagasaki, the Governor of Japan's Yamanashi
Prefecture, and a big Japanese entourage at his official house in Lucknow.
During their visit, the leaders signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to
strengthen cooperation in industry, tourism, and vocational education.
An agreement was signed to improve economic, cultural, and
educational relations between Uttar Pradesh and Yamanashi Prefecture.
Investment and Industry: Discussions centered on making UP a
key hub for Japanese investment, expanding on past high-level delegations.
Student Interaction: CM Yogi and Governor Nagasaki also took
part in an interaction event in Lucknow that brought together Japanese and
Indian students.
“Had a productive meeting and fruitful discussion with
Kotaro Nagasaki, Governor of Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan at my official
residence in Lucknow today. Under the visionary leadership of Hon. PM Shri @narendramodi
Ji, India-Japan relations continue to reach new heights, opening up exciting
avenues for cooperation at the state and prefectural levels.
We discussed opportunities to further deepen ties between
Uttar Pradesh and Yamanashi, particularly in areas of investment, industry,
technology, tourism and cultural exchange.
I am confident that these growing partnerships will create
new opportunities for mutual growth and shared prosperity,” remarked UP CM in a
