Lucknow, 21 Aug (HS): “When the strengths of Japan and India
come together, not only will the future of the children of both countries
become brighter, but new doors of possibilities will also open on the global
stage. The cultural ties between India and Japan are ancient.
Japan's philosophy of 'Wa', which emphasizes moving forward
together, and India's cultural ethos of 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam', which recognizes
the world as one family,” said UP CM in a program organized in Lucknow for
meeting students from Japan and India.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Governor of
Japan's Yamanashi Prefecture, Kotaro Nagasaki, attended an interactive youth
event in Lucknow that brought together 13 visiting students and teachers from
Yamanashi, as well as peers from notable Lucknow institutions.
Grassroots Exchange: The goal is to foster cultural understanding and
intellectual linkages between young people from India and Japan.CM Yogi
emphasized Uttar Pradesh as a spiritual hub, including Ayodhya and the planned
student tour to Sarnath in Varanasi.
Bigger Partnership: As part of a larger Invest UP bilateral engagement that
includes industrial collaboration, green hydrogen, and vocational training.
The Japanese delegation will spend the morning at the school
until around 1 p.m., participating in classroom activities and interacting with
pupils. The visit will allow students from both nations to exchange educational
experiences and learn about each other's cultures and lives. The curriculum
will also provide Japanese students with an in-depth look at Uttar Pradesh's
expanding school education system. Through peer-to-peer exchanges, students
will investigate parallels and contrasts between the education systems of India
and Japan while creating deeper cultural awareness.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also met with Japanese and Indian students. He
learnt about their experiences and explore the significance of education in
strengthening India-Japan collaboration.
The contact will provide a youth dimension to the two
nations' burgeoning educational partnership. The activity, part of the Japanese
delegation's visit to Lucknow, aims to strengthen ties between young people
from both nations. By bringing kids together in the classroom, the project
hopes to enhance cultural understanding and develop India-Japan ties at the
grassroots level through education.
