New Delhi, 21 August (H.S.): Following Maruti Suzuki and Hyundai, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited (TMPV) has announced a price hike across its vehicle portfolio. The automaker will increase the prices of its petrol, diesel, CNG and electric vehicles (EVs) by up to ₹25,000, with the revised prices coming into effect from September 1, 2026.
In a statement issued on Friday, the company said TMPV would raise prices of all its vehicles by up to ₹25,000 from September 1. The company attributed the increase to rising input costs and inflationary pressures.
The price revision will vary across internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles and EVs in different segments, depending on the model and variant. Tata Motors Limited said the adjustment was being undertaken to partially offset the impact of rising costs and inflation.
The company added that the extent of the increase would differ across models and variants. TMPV continues to absorb a significant portion of the cost escalation, while the revised pricing will pass on part of the burden to customers.
Notably, TMPV’s passenger vehicle portfolio ranges from the compact Tiago to premium SUVs such as the Safari and the Harrier EV. The prices of these vehicles currently range from approximately ₹4.7 lakh to ₹31 lakh.
