Jammu, 21 August (H.S.): A student died in a tragic road accident near Degree College Chenani in District Udhampur after falling from a Moving Mini Bus today morning at about 10:30 am.

According to police, a Mini Bus bearing registration number JK14D/2755 was travelling from Tandar towards Chenani when the vehicle reached near Degree College Chenani, a student attempted to board the moving vehicle.

However, he reportedly failed to get a proper grip on the handle and fell onto the road.

In the unfortunate incident, the rear wheel of the Mini bus ran over the student, causing critical injuries.

He was immediately shifted to a CHC Chenani hospital for treatment, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The deceased identified as Sham Lal son of Bansi Lal of W No. 2 Tandhar Tehsil Chenani.

Chenani police have taken cognizance of the incident and Mini bus Driver Arrested on the spot, further investigation is underway.
