Sambhajinagar, 1 Aug (HS): in a hair raising incident, father of an 18-year-old

son died while trying to save his son from committing suicide. Shocked by the

incident mother also committed suicide.

The shocking

incident occurred on a hillock in Tisgaon in Devrai-Satara region, when Kunal

Muralidhar Chandwade (18) reached the top of the hillock with an intention to

commit suicide. On getting the information about intension of Kunal his father

Muralidhar and mother Sangita also followed him with some villagers. Muralidhar

tried to save him and tried to catch him. Kunal, however, committed suicide by

jumping from the hillock, while his father Muralidhar also fell down trying to

save him from committing suicide.

Shocked by the

incident when son and husband falling from the hillock, Sangita also jumped to

end her life.

All three of

Chanwade family died in the incident.

The villagers

were shocked by the incident, which occurred on Friday.

The reason

behind Kunal taking the extreme step, however, was not known.
