Beed, 21 Aug (HS): Former

District Collector of Beed, Avinash Pathak, has been denied bail in fraud registered

as 181/2026 by the police. The Additional Sessions Court rejected his bail application

on Thursday, which was denied earlier by the lower court.

Pathak is facing charges of increasing

compensation of land acquired from Rs 68 crores to Rs 310 crore. He was

arrested by the Special Investigation Team from Latur on 5 May, 2026. The State

Government has suspended him.
