
New Delhi, 21 August (H.S.): The downturn in the US bond market has begun to weigh on bullion markets worldwide. Both precious metals, gold and silver, have registered strong gains in international markets, with the global rally spilling over into domestic bullion markets during early trading on Thursday.
Gold prices have risen by Rs 3,970 to Rs 4,320 per 10 grams across most bullion markets in the country. Silver has also recorded a sharp increase of up to Rs 10,200 per kilogram.
Following the latest price movement, 24-carat gold is trading between Rs 1,59,280 and Rs 1,59,430 per 10 grams in most major bullion markets, while 22-carat gold is selling in the range of Rs 1,46,010 to Rs 1,46,160 per 10 grams. Silver has also surged, with the precious metal trading at Rs 2,55,100 per kilogram in the Delhi bullion market.
In Delhi, 24-carat gold is trading at Rs 1,59,430 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold is priced at Rs 1,46,160 per 10 grams. In Mumbai, the country's financial capital, 24-carat gold is trading at Rs 1,59,280 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at Rs 1,46,010 per 10 grams. In Ahmedabad, the retail price of 24-carat gold stands at Rs 1,59,330 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold is priced at Rs 1,46,060 per 10 grams.

In the capitals of these three states—Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Bhubaneswar—24-carat gold is trading at Rs 1,59,280 per 10 grams. Similarly, 22-carat gold is selling at Rs 1,46,010 per 10 grams in the bullion markets of all three cities.
