
Guwahati, 21 August (HS): The BJP-led Assam Government, under Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, has completed 100 days of its current term, with the government highlighting initiatives in development, employment, education, healthcare, agriculture, industry and social welfare.
BJP Assam Pradesh spokesperson Jayanta Kumar Goswami said the government had taken several key decisions, including measures to improve financial discipline, fill vacant government posts, strengthen youth employment and promote digital governance.
He said initiatives in higher education, medical admissions, agriculture, urban development, tourism, renewable energy and industrial investment were also undertaken during the period.
The government has also increased the Dearness Allowance and Dearness Relief for employees and pensioners from 58 to 60%, while steps have been taken to promote satellite city development around Guwahati and strengthen Dibrugarh as a second capital region.
Goswami said the first 100 days marked the beginning of a broader journey towards building a developed, prosperous and self-reliant Assam.------------
