New Delhi, 20 August (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as part of his regular morning practice of sharing a Subhashitam, posted a verse from the renowned Sanskrit work Kathasaritsagara on his X handle on Thursday, conveying a message of perseverance and courage in difficult circumstances.

The verse reads:

“Even in times of adversity and hardship, the wise never abandon their enthusiasm. Thus, the steadfast and resolute-minded are reminded.”

The verse conveys the message that people of wisdom and firm resolve do not lose their spirit or determination even when faced with crises and challenging circumstances.

Kathasaritsagara was authored by the renowned Sanskrit poet Somadeva Bhatta.

In his post, Prime Minister Modi explained the meaning of the verse as: “Wise people with a steady and resolute mind remind us that the intelligent never lose their enthusiasm, even in times of crisis and difficult circumstances.”
