
Modern education available on single campus from pre-primary
to Class 12; 50% first installment of all three projects released
Lucknow, 20 Aug (HS): The Yogi government is continuously taking effective
steps to strengthen the basic education infrastructure in the state and provide
modern and quality education to children in rural areas. In this regard, the
government has granted administrative and financial approval totaling over Rs.
74.26 crore (Rs. 7,426.01 lakh) for the construction of Chief Minister
Model Composite Schools in Mathura, Pratapgarh, and Balrampur. These
schools will provide education from pre-primary to grade 12 on a single campus.
Minister of State for Basic Education (Independent Charge) Sandeep Singh said
that under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state
government is committed to providing quality education and modern infrastructure
to every child. Under the Chief Minister Model Composite School
scheme, modern education from pre-primary to grade 12 will be provided on a
single campus.
Additional Chief Secretary of Basic Education, Partha Sarathi Sen Sharma,
stated that these approved schools in Mathura, Pratapgarh, and Balrampur will
especially benefit students in rural areas. He directed that construction work
be quality-conscious and that strict adherence to deadlines be ensured.
The first installment of 50 percent of the approved funds for all three
projects, approximately Rs 37.13 crore, has also been released with immediate
effect. These schools will be constructed by the designated implementing
agency, the Uttar Pradesh Housing and Development Council. Chief Minister Model
Composite School will be constructed in village Nera Bangar, Tehsil Mahavan,
Baldev development block of Mathura district. The total approved cost of the
project is Rs 2478.93 lakh, while Rs 1239.465 lakh has been released as the
first installment.
The school will be constructed in Gram Panchayat Rampur
Bawali, Tehsil Lalganj, Rampur Sangramgarh development block of Pratapgarh. For
this, total administrative and financial approval of Rs 2467.08 lakh has been
given. Rs 1233.54 lakh has been released as the first installment of the
project.
In Balrampur, a Chief Minister's Model Composite School will be constructed in
village Mahadev Mishra, Tehsil Balrampur. Approval for this has been granted
for Rs 2,480 lakh. Rs. 1,240 lakh has been released as the first installment. In
an order issued by Special Secretary of Basic Education, Awadhesh Kumar Tiwari,
instructions have been given to ensure complete adherence to prescribed
financial standards and quality during construction work. The government has
clarified that no revisions or cost increases will be accepted in projects.
