Nagpur, 20 Aug

(HS): Renowned film actor and Padmashri awardee Ashok Saraf was felicitated in

Nagpur. In an open interview following the felicitation at the hands of Chief

Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Saraf said the new generation need not be advised

anything. The generation does not listen to anyone. There may be some reason

for them to not to listen to any advice.

Shri

Siddhivinayak Trust, Nagpur Municipal Corporation and Vidarbha Gaurav Pratishthan

had jointly organised the programme. Renowned anchor and actor Pushkar Shouti

was the facilitator.

Saraf said the

young generation should strive to do something new and constructive with minor

observation, determination and hard work. Like while acting besides what to do

is important and then thinking of performing better than what has been told to

do is important. ‘I have been following these principles since my childhood”,

he added.

When I was six

year old without anyone’s guidance I started playing table. Understanding the

rhythm helped me in career as an actor.

Despite working

for several decades, first entry still makes me nervous. Saraf shared experience

of his life as an individual and as an actor. Because of busy schedule of film

shooting he had to remain away from the stage. He said that the strength of the

story is more important than role offered to him. Besides earning applause as a

comic actor he was equally appreciated in the role of a villain.

He accredited

his wife and renowned actress Nivedita Saraf for making her married life happy.

Earlier Devendra

Fadnavis felicitated Ashok Saraf. Mayor Neeta Thakre, former MLC Sandip Joshi,

Girish Gandhi, Deputy Mayor Leela Hathibed and other were present.
