Lucknow, August 02 (HS): Uttar Pradesh Tourism and Culture

Minister Jaiveer Singh on Sunday launched the first edition of The Riding

Chapters: Visit My State by flagging off a team of 65 bike riders from

Lucknow's 1090 intersection. The initiative aims to promote adventure tourism

and present Uttar Pradesh's lesser-known heritage, natural sites, and monuments

as a new tourism experience for travelers from India and abroad.

On this occasion, Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh

said that Uttar Pradesh tourism is breaking new ground. The state has immense

tourism potential, and to reinvigorate them, a 65-member team of bike riders

has been dispatched on an exciting journey to Kalinjar Fort.

He expressed confidence that the Tourism Department, along

with the District Magistrates and local administrations of all the districts

along the route, will provide full support to make this journey from Lucknow to

Kalinjar safe, smooth, and memorable. The Minister also stated that the state

government's objective is to link tourism development with public

participation. Through this campaign, the aim is to connect more and more youth

with Uttar Pradesh's rich heritage, adventure tourism, and lesser-known

destinations, making them active ambassadors of tourism.

Affairs Department, Amrit Abhijat said, The Tourism Department is

focusing on promoting the less popular destinations of the state along with the

famous destinations. Kalinjar Fort in Banda district is one such place which

needs to be brought into the tourism scene. A team of 65 enthusiastic bike

riders will promote such destinations. He said that 'The Riding Chapters' is an

important initiative in this direction, which will connect the travelers with

the rich heritage, rural environment and hidden tourist treasures of Uttar

Pradesh. He said that this event has been organized keeping in mind the natural

environment and monsoon season of Bundelkhand.

He further said, Bikers should meet villagers while

traveling along the roads. Make videos and share their experiences with the

world through social media. This will also provide information about the

tourist destinations of Uttar Pradesh that are still untouched by the people of

the state and the country.

The route of this first tourist bike tour, about 330 km

long, has been decided to reach the historical Kalinjar Fort via Lucknow,

Kanpur, Bindki and Banda. The tour will conclude in the religious city of

Chitrakoot. During this, the participants will stop at Gulmohar Eco Spot in

Banda, where they will get an opportunity to see a unique glimpse of

Bundelkhand's rural culture, traditional food and rural tourism. During this,

Director General of Tourism Dr. Vedpati Mishra, Managing Director UPSTDC Ashish

Kumar, Deputy Director Kirti and other people associated with the Tourism

Department were present.
