
Bhubaneswar, 02 August (H.S.) : The Odisha Government has revised the timeline for Phase-I undergraduate admissions for the 2026–27 academic session in view of the prevailing flood situation across the state.
According to a notification issued by the Higher Education Department, the decision has been taken considering the challenges faced by students and educational institutions in flood-affected areas. The revised schedule applies to all +3 degree courses offered by State Public Universities, Government, Aided, Unaided, and Law Colleges under the Student Academic Management System (SAMS).
As per the updated timeline, the last date for reporting by applicants for admission under the Third or Final Round (Round 3 Selection and Admission Allotment) is August 5, 2026, till 5:00 PM. Institutions have been directed to complete the data updation of admitted students in the e-space by 9:00 PM on the same day.
For Round 4, the Waiting or Spot Selection Round, the list of waitlisted candidates will be published in the HEIs’ e-space and student login portals on August 8, 2026, at 12:00 noon, based on the actual vacancies as of August 5. Interested waitlisted candidates must report physically to their respective institutions for submission of the Common Application Form (CAF) along with relevant documents between August 10, 2026 (11:00 AM) and August 11, 2026 (4:00 PM).
Candidates are required to appear in person; however, representatives with valid identity proof will also be allowed to report on their behalf. The merit list of the reported waitlisted candidates will be displayed on the notice boards and official websites of the institutions, and selected applicants will be informed via phone call or SMS on August 12, 2026, at 2:00 PM.
Document verification, final admission, and fee payment will be conducted directly by the institutions through online modes such as net banking, bank challan, NEFT, or UPI. Admission data will be updated in the institutions’ e-space between August 13, 2026 (10:00 AM) and August 14, 2026 (5:00 PM).
