Special job fairs to be organised in all Govt Industrial
Training Institutes (ITIs)
Under Divyangjan Rojgar Abhiyaan 3.0, opportunity to get
involved in employment and self-employment
Lucknow, August 02 (HS): The Yogi government in Uttar
Pradesh is continuously taking effective steps to empower people with
disabilities, making them self-reliant and economically empowered. In this
regard, the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission (UPSDM) launched the
statewide Divyangjan Rojgar Abhiyaan 3.0 on Sunday. This special
campaign will run until August 10, 2026, under which special employment fairs
will be organized in all districts of the state.
Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Vocational Education,
Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship, Kapil Dev Agarwal, stated that under
the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the state government is
committed to integrating persons with disabilities into the mainstream of
society. The Divyangjan Rojgar Abhiyaan 3.0 is part of that commitment. He
added that the Yogi government believes that persons with disabilities have
immense potential; what is needed is the right skills, opportunities, and a
respectable platform. This campaign will not only provide employment to
disabled youth, but also provide them with a new identity of self-respect and
self-reliance.
Major private sector companies have been involved in special
job fairs organized by UPSDM to help our youth with disabilities find better jobs
according to their qualifications. The government will provide all possible
support through loans and entrepreneurship schemes to those who wish to start
their own businesses. A key feature of the campaign is the physical
verification of the disabled beneficiaries in the first and second phases to
ensure they remain permanently employed. This is a symbol of transparency and
results-oriented governance.
Mission Director Pulkit Khare said that in this campaign,
employment and self-employment opportunities will be provided to disabled youth
trained by the Skill Development Mission, as well as other eligible and
interested disabled candidates. During the campaign, special employment fairs
will be organized in all the Government Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs)
of the state.
Various reputed companies will participate and provide
employment opportunities to disabled candidates as per their qualifications and
skills. At the same time, youth wishing to become self-employed will have the
opportunity to apply for loans under various government schemes. Along with
this, detailed information about entrepreneurship development and
self-employment related schemes will also be made available to them.
The mission strives to empower more disabled youth to become
self-reliant through employment and self-employment. This initiative of the
Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission will strengthen the state's goal of an
inclusive and developed Uttar Pradesh.
