Guwahati, 02 August (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday congratulated ace boxer Lovlina Borgohain for winning the silver medal at the 2026 Commonwealth Games.

In a social media post, the Chief Minister said Lovlina has once again made the entire state of Assam and the country proud with her remarkable achievement. He expressed confidence that her success would inspire the youth of Assam, especially aspiring sportspersons, to dream big and work hard to achieve their goals.

Dr. Sarma also said he believes Lovlina will continue to bring greater glory to both Assam and India on the international sporting stage in the years to come.-----------
