
Guwahati, 02 August (HS): Assam Agriculture, Irrigation and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pijush Hazarika on Sunday visited Charaideo district to review post-flood agricultural rehabilitation measures and interact with affected farmers.
During the visit, the Minister launched a community paddy nursery at Ghilaguri High School in Mahmora, distributed paddy seedlings to flood-affected farmers, and flagged off trucks carrying seedlings for Nazira and Mahmora constituencies. He also visited flood-hit villages and a relief camp in Sonari, assuring affected families of continued government support.
Hazarika said the Assam government is committed to restoring agricultural activities by ensuring the timely supply of quality paddy seedlings and other assistance to flood-affected farmers.---------
