Prayagraj, August 02 (HS): As part of the Nation Building

Scheme, 20 Senior Division cdt and 20

Senior Wing cadets of 15 UP Bn participated in an educational visit to the

historic Prayagraj Fort. The visit was organised to enhance the cadets'

awareness of India's rich cultural heritage and strengthen their sense of

patriotism and national pride.

During the visit, the cadets explored several iconic

historical and religious landmarks within the fort, including the sacred Akshay

Vat, the ancient Patalpuri Temple, Saraswati Kund, the magnificent Ashoka

Pillar, the President's View Point, and the historic underground route leading

to Akshay Vat. They also visited the Rang Mahal and other historically

significant locations inside the fort that are generally not open to the

public, making the experience both unique and memorable.

Comdt OD Fort briefed the cadets on the historical,

cultural, and archaeological significance of these monuments. The cadets

learned about the importance of Prayagraj Fort, built by Emperor Akbar, its

association with India's ancient civilisation, and the legacy of Emperor Ashoka

reflected through the Ashoka Pillar.

The visit provided the cadets with first-hand exposure to

India's rich heritage and reinforced the objectives of the Nation Building

Scheme by fostering historical awareness, patriotism, leadership, and

responsible citizenship. The cadets expressed immense enthusiasm and described

the tour as an inspiring and enriching experience that strengthened their

appreciation for the nation's glorious past and the need to preserve its
