
Prayagraj, 19 Aug (HS): Congress National Secretary and
Observer for the Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan, Zarita Latphalang, said that the
campaign is aimed at organisational restructuring and strengthening, with the
objective of reviving and empowering the party from the booth and ward up to the
district and state levels. Addressing a meeting of office-bearers, ward and
block presidents of Prayagraj West at a guest house on Nurullah Road here
today, she said that through the campaign, grassroots workers would be given
greater opportunities through decentralisation and transparency.
She said that the goal of every Congress worker is to make
Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi the Prime Minister of the country. It may be
mentioned that since August 11, the observer has been making an extensive tour
of the city as well Trans-Ganga and
Trans-Yamuna areas, seeking the views and feedback of Congress workers. The
meeting was chaired by City Congress Committee President Fuzail Hashmi and
conducted by former State Spokesperson Kishore Varshney.
