Growth, Shared Technology and Shared Prosperity between India and Japan. Today,

more than 9.6 million MSMEs, more than 35,000 large industries, and more than

22,000 startups are driving the economy of Uttar Pradesh. Japan is the Land of

the Rising Sun and Uttar Pradesh is the Land of the Suryavansh, Land of Shri

Ram, Land of Shri Krishna, Land of Buddha, Land of Unlimited Potential. Now is

the best time to transform the India-Japan Strategic Vision into a Concrete

Economic and Industrial Partnership through Investment, Innovation,

Manufacturing and Technology Partnership between Uttar Pradesh and Japanese industry.

Today, the Escort Kubota project worth more than Rs. 2,000 crore has the

potential to create around 4,000 jobs. In its first phase, the capacity to

produce 60,000 tractors and 15,000 construction equipment per year has been

proposed,” said Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday

during Uttar Pradesh-Japan Investment Summit 2026 held in New Delhi.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that

combining Japan's precision technology and manufacturing excellence with Uttar

Pradesh's vast scale, workforce skills, and growing market can significantly

benefit the state's micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and workforce

skilling ecosystem.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today virtually laid the

foundation stone for two tractor manufacturing plants and harness wire

manufacturing plants for automobile companies in the Yamuna Expressway

Industrial Development Authority area during a Japanese investment program held

in Delhi. An investment of approximately Rs. 5,145 crore is proposed in these

two plants. The Chief Minister was originally scheduled to visit Yamuna City.

According to officials, some changes were made to the program later. The Chief

Minister virtually joined the foundation stone laying ceremony at 9 a.m. on

Wednesday.

RK Singh, Chief Executive Officer of the Yamuna Development

Authority, stated that Escort-Kubota, a joint venture between Japan and India,

is planning to set up a plant in Sector 10. Tractors and other agricultural

equipment will be manufactured there. The Yamuna Authority previously allocated

approximately 190 acres of land for this plant. Now, after the foundation stone

is laid, the company will begin construction, enabling production to begin

soon. He stated that the company will invest approximately Rs. 4,500 crore in

this project.

He said that apart from this, the Chief Minister laid the

foundation stone of the plant of Minda Corporation, a company of Spark Minda Group,

in Sector-24 on Wednesday. Around 23 acres of land has been allotted to the

company by Yamuna Authority. An investment of around Rs 645 crore is proposed

here in partnership with Korean company Daesung and Indian company Loconav.

Apart from harness wire, ignition switch cum steering lock and mechatronics

components are to be manufactured in this plant. This unit is expected to

provide employment to around 2270 people. He said that apart from this, this

company is also working on a plan to set up a plant in Sector-10.
