
New Delhi, 19 August (H.S.): President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday expressed deep grief over the loss of nine lives in a fire that broke out at a hotel in the Free School Street area of Kolkata late Tuesday night.
President Murmu expressed sorrow over the loss of lives in the Kolkata fire. She said the news of people losing their lives in the tragic incident was deeply distressing. She conveyed her heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in the incident.
Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan also expressed grief over the loss of lives in the Kolkata fire. He extended his deepest condolences to the families who lost their loved ones and prayed for the early recovery of the injured.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed sorrow over the tragedy and said that his thoughts and sympathies were with the families of the victims in this hour of grief. He prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured and said that the local administration was extending all possible assistance to the affected people.
