UP-Japan Investment Meet-2026 and the groundbreaking ceremony of two important
projects, leading industrial groups from Japan and India described Uttar
Pradesh as a rapidly emerging hub for investment, manufacturing and employment.
Senior officials from Kubota Corporation Japan and Spark Minda Corporation
Limited shared their investment, partnership experiences and future prospects
in Uttar Pradesh. Lauding the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath,
both industrialists described the infrastructure, skilled human resources,
large market, investment-friendly policies and government support available in
the state as important bases for industrial expansion.
Kubota said – investment in UP is a symbol of long-term
confidence: Speaking at the ceremony, Shingo Hanada, President and CEO of
Kubota Corporation, Japan, described the groundbreaking of the new
manufacturing facility as a significant milestone for the company and said that
this occasion marks a new milestone in Kubota's long-term commitment and
partnership with Uttar Pradesh. He expressed his gratitude to the Government of
India, the Government of Uttar Pradesh, Invest UP, and all the partners whose
support and cooperation made this important milestone possible. He praised the
leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, noting that Uttar Pradesh has
emerged as one of India's fastest-growing industrial centers. Kubota's
investment in Uttar Pradesh reflects the company's long-term confidence in the
state's potential. The industry also wants to play its role in Uttar Pradesh's
progress and in the efforts to build India into a developed and strong economy.

The Kubota CEO stated that for over 135 years, Kubota has been working with the

Spark Minda has over 40 years of presence in UP, now
preparing for large-scale expansion
At the event, Akash Minda, Executive Director, Minda
Corporation Limited, shared his thoughts on the company's presence in Uttar
Pradesh and its future plans. He stated that Uttar Pradesh today is a state of
potential and new opportunities. Most importantly, the state has become a state
that prioritizes industry and investment. He stated that Uttar Pradesh is not
only building infrastructure, but is also fostering investor confidence and
industrial confidence among investors and industry.
Expressways, corridors and world-class logistics have
transformed the industrial landscape.
Praising the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath,
Akash Minda said that under his leadership, a strong foundation for
industrialization has been laid in Uttar Pradesh. Facilities such as

Employment to more than 9 thousand people in Uttar Pradesh: Akash
Minda stated that he represents the Spark Minda Group, a company engaged in
automotive manufacturing. The company has been present in Uttar Pradesh for
over 40 years and currently employs over 9,000 people in the state. Uttar
Pradesh is a very important state for Spark Minda, and the company is committed
to expanding its presence there on a significant scale.
Advanced technology will increase investment in EVs and
electronics: Akash Minda stated that the company is preparing to increase its
investment in Uttar Pradesh in areas such as advanced technology, motor parts,
electric vehicle (EV) products, electronics, and design and development
centers. The company is also moving towards deeper localization and backward
integration. Partnerships with Japanese companies are crucial for this purpose.
With this investment expansion, the company aims to create approximately 6,000
to 8,000 additional jobs in the state.
