Lucknow, 19 Aug (HS): The Yogi government is continuously
taking new steps to connect the youth of the state not only with the national
but also with the global employment market. In this regard, an 'International
Employment Cell' has been formed in the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development
Mission. This cell will gather information about employment opportunities
available abroad, train youth as per the demand of foreign companies, and
connect them to international employment in a transparent manner.
Kapil Dev Agarwal, Minister of State (Independent Charge)
for Vocational Education, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship, said that
the Yogi government's goal is to provide better employment opportunities to the
youth of the state according to their qualifications and skills. He said that
the youth of Uttar Pradesh are second to none in terms of talent and potential.
Through the International Employment Cell, an effective system is being
prepared to connect our trained youth with employment opportunities abroad. The
government's priority is that youth get respectable employment according to
their qualifications and bring glory to the state globally.
Mission Director Pulkit Khare said that this initiative is
important in the direction of achieving the goal of making the state a one
trillion dollar economy. Currently, under the Uttar Pradesh Skill Development
Mission, youth are being provided skill training for over 1,300 job roles in 35
major sectors. Now, special emphasis will be placed on connecting trained youth
with the global employment market.
The International Employment Cell will coordinate with
recruiting agents registered with the Ministry of External Affairs, Government
of India, the Directorate of Employment, Uttar Pradesh's 'Mission Rojgar', and
other related organizations. By obtaining the demand for human resources from
companies operating abroad, the availability of trained youth will be ensured
accordingly. Dr. M.K. Singh, Assistant Director, has been appointed as the
Chairman of the Cell, and Vijay Namdev, Assistant Manager, has been nominated
as the Nodal Officer.
The International Employment Cell will meet and coordinate
with the Mission Rojgar Cell every 15 days to obtain information about new
employment demands in various countries and sectors. Based on this, a database
of eligible youth will be prepared and provided to the concerned agencies.
The cell will also pre-assess potential future job
opportunities abroad. This information will be provided to the TPP cell so that
new training programs can be started as needed and youth can be prepared in
time according to employment demands. The cell will also study the demand for
skilled workers in various countries with the support of Invest UP. Along with
this, efforts will be made to connect youth who have received training from the
Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission but have not yet found employment with
overseas employment on a priority basis.
