Noida/New Delhi, 19 Aug (HS): Uttar Pradesh Finance and

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Khanna said that under the guidance of

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi

Adityanath, strong law and order, world-class infrastructure, and

investment-friendly policies have positioned Uttar Pradesh as one of the most

promising investment destinations. Japan is now moving forward in the state's

development journey not just as an investor but as a long-term strategic

partner.

Addressing the Uttar Pradesh-Japan Investment Summit 2026

held at the Taj Palace in New Delhi, Suresh Khanna said that India-Japan

relations are steadily strengthening based on shared values, common vision, and

mutual priorities. The participation of a large delegation from Japan is a

testament to the growing confidence of Japanese business in Uttar Pradesh. He

welcomed the Japanese delegation, including Kotaro Nagasaki, Governor of

Yamanashi Prefecture.

Suresh Khanna said that strong law and order, excellent

connectivity, a large consumer market, skilled human resources, good

policy-driven governance, and rapidly developing infrastructure are Uttar

Pradesh's major strengths. Systems like Invest Mitra have eased

business and accelerated the process of implementing investment proposals.

He said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's recent visit

to Japan has given new impetus to industrial and institutional dialogue between

the two sides. New possibilities are now emerging in areas such as green

hydrogen, automobiles, advanced manufacturing, technology, innovation, and

healthcare. Uttar Pradesh sees Japan not just as an investor, but welcomes it

as a reliable partner for sustainable and long-term development. He expressed

confidence that the UP-Japan Investment Meet 2026 will elevate the economic,

industrial, and institutional ties between the two sides to new heights.
