New Delhi, 19 August (H.S.): India and Pakistan will renew their much-anticipated rivalry in the Hockey World Cup 2026 on Wednesday evening, with the high-voltage Pool D encounter set to take place at the Wagener Hockey Stadium in Amstelveen, Netherlands. The match has drawn the attention of hockey fans worldwide, with India aiming to secure a place in the semi-finals with a victory, while Pakistan face a virtual do-or-die situation.

Captain Harmanpreet Singh and his teammates are now preparing for another chapter in one of international hockey's most celebrated rivalries.

The biggest challenge for India will be to maintain composure and discipline amid the intense emotions surrounding the contest. Given the long-standing rivalry between the two nations, the match is expected to be fiercely contested, with pressure and excitement reaching their peak.
