Lucknow, 19 Aug (HS): On Tulsi Jayanti (birth anniversary)
festivities, Yogi Adityanath attends major state ceremonies and pays public
honours to famed saint-poet Goswami Tulsidas, author of the Ramcharitmanas,
particularly by visiting his birthplace/memorial sites in Chitrakoot and
Rajapur. Chitrakoot and Rajapur, holy
places associated with Tulsidas' life and work, are frequently the sites of
celebrations and speeches. CM Yogi prays at Tulsi Janmkutir, visits rare
Ramcharitmanas manuscripts at Manas Mandir, and unveils commemorative
monuments.
The Chief Minister emphasizes Tulsidas's significant contribution in raising
public awareness and uniting society through devotion (bhakti) and cultural
power. Announcements are routinely made to transform Chitrakoot and adjoining
heritage places into significant self-sustaining hubs of faith, safety, and
tourism infrastructure.
In a post on X, he stated, “Hold the lamp of Ram's name at
the threshold of your heart's door. Tulsidas, if you seek inner and outer
illumination. On the birth anniversary of the creator of the immortal epic
'Shri Ramcharitmanas', the great poet of the devotional stream, the revered
'Pujyapad' Goswami Tulsidas Ji Maharaj, millions of salutations and heartfelt
congratulations to the people of the state. Through his divine compositions, he
conveyed the nectar-like message of Lord Shri Ram's ideals, eternal culture,
and Indian life values to one and all. His timeless literature is an eternal
guide for the welfare of the world.
