Hooghly, 19 August (H.S.): Amid the worsening flood situation in Arambagh subdivision, administrative preparations have intensified ahead of Chief Minister Shubhendu Adhikari’s proposed visit. The Chief Minister is scheduled to visit flood-affected areas of the Arambagh subdivision on Thursday to assess the situation on the ground. He is also expected to review the extent of damage and the administration’s preparedness to deal with the evolving situation.

Administrative activities have increased across the subdivision ahead of the visit. Officials are reviewing security arrangements, transportation and communication systems, as well as relief and rescue preparations in the flood-affected areas.

As part of the preparations, a helicopter trial run was conducted at the Arambagh helipad on Wednesday. Security and administrative arrangements were closely monitored ahead of the proposed arrival of the Chief Minister’s helicopter.

A large number of local residents gathered around the helipad to watch the trial run. The proposed visit has generated considerable curiosity and interest among people in the area.

According to administrative sources, the Chief Minister is likely to inspect flood-affected areas and may also hold a meeting with senior officials. The meeting is expected to focus on the current flood situation, relief and rescue operations, assessment of damage and the strategy required to deal with the situation in the coming days.
