Guwahati, 19 August (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday extended his warm greetings to the people of Assam on the auspicious occasion of the first day of the holy Bhado month.

In a social media post, the Chief Minister said the sacred month of Bhado brings a unique atmosphere of devotion, spirituality and brotherhood. He said the melodious chanting of Harinam fills the surroundings and brings peace and purity to the minds and souls of people.

Sarma noted that the celebration of Lord Krishna’s birth anniversary and the observance of the sacred occasions associated with the two Mahapurushas during this month further enriched Assam’s social and spiritual life.

He prayed that the blessings of the Almighty bring peace, prosperity and happiness to the lives of every Assamese and conveyed his heartfelt wishes to the people of the state on the auspicious occasion.---------------
