Mumbai, 19 August (H.S.): Yash is gearing up to return to the big screen with his much-awaited action thriller Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups. Following the phenomenal success of KGF Chapter 2, released in 2022, expectations are running high for Yash’s latest film. Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film’s teaser and trailer have already been released. The makers are now reportedly preparing for a worldwide release across nearly 12,000 screens. If the figure is finalised, it would make Toxic one of the widest global releases for an Indian film.
Toxic is scheduled to hit cinemas worldwide on August 26, while advance bookings are expected to open on August 21. According to reports, the makers are planning an extensive international release and are targeting approximately 12,000 screens across the globe. However, the final screen count is yet to be officially confirmed.
A release on such a massive scale could give the film a strong opportunity to post an impressive opening-day collection at the box office. Given the tremendous popularity of Yash following the success of KGF Chapter 2, expectations are already high that Toxic could register a record-breaking opening.
Produced under the banners of KVN Productions and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, Toxic has received an ‘A’ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Alongside Yash, the film features Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Tara Sutaria and Huma Qureshi in key roles.
The film’s large-scale production, star-studded cast and Yash’s immense popularity have further heightened audience anticipation ahead of its theatrical release.
