Raises issue of bridge cut off from Koraon's Barokhar,
Handia, Manpur to Prayagraj
Prayagraj, 18 Aug (HS): Prayagraj MP Ujjwal Raman Singh, taking
the BJP triple engine government to task, said that half the city was submerged
in a little rain, people's houses were flooded and all the government schemes
have failed. He said that thousands of crores of rupees of public's hard-earned
tax were wasted due to the shortsightedness of the Smart City Scheme officials,
what benefit did the public get from it, they are still drowning in a little
rain.
The MP said that drainage was not dug in the villages and
drains were not cleaned in the cities, as a result of which, from cities to
villages, everything is submerged in water. MP Ujjwal Raman Singh said that
Koraon Barokhar, Manpur, Hadiya area got cut off from Prayagraj because due to
the submergence of Bhogan bridge and Devghat bridge on Belan river, if the
residents there fall ill then they cannot come to Prayagraj, hence it is
necessary to build a big bridge on it.
MP claimed that the triple engine government has failed,
every scheme of its has failed on every front, be it Smart City, Janjeevan
Mission, Swachh Ganga Abhiyan, Swachhata Abhiyan, all the schemes have proved
to be just on paper. MP representative Vinay Kushwaha said that if the
government had emphasized on employment yatra and development yatra instead of
Tiranga Yatra and Kanwar Yatra, the situation of the country and the state
would have been different.
