Ranchi, 18 August (H.S.): A celebratory atmosphere has prevailed among protesting students in Jharkhand following Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s decision to cancel the JSSC-CGL examination. After the Chief Minister’s announcement, Health Minister Irfan Ansari and Minister Deepika Pandey Singh reached Sadar Hospital late Monday night and ended student leader Devendra Nath Mahato’s hunger strike by offering him juice.

As news of the development spread, social activist Sonam Wangchuk spoke to Jharkhand student leader Devendra Nath Mahato via video call late Monday night and congratulated him. He praised the hard work and dedication of the students of Jharkhand and extended his best wishes to all successful candidates.

During the conversation, the role of the Jharkhand government and the Chief Minister was also appreciated. Emphasis was laid on the need for the government and the public to continue working together and jointly address any shortcomings or problems that may arise.

Wangchuk described the students’ achievement as a positive step and wished them continued success, urging them to move forward with the same determination, hard work and unity.
