
Nagpur, 18 Aug (HS): Over 12 prominent schools and the
District Court in Nagpur received bomb threat on Tuesday morning, The police
were immediately informed and the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad with dig
squad immediately started search operations. Nothing objectionable, however,
was found.
The prominent schools targeted include branches of
Centre Point School, Kendriya Vidyalaya Ajni, Katol and Vayusena Nagar branches
and Poddar International School and the District Court.
Teams of BDDS, Dig Squad, the Police carried out
searches in all the premises and found nothing objectionable. The threat turned
out to be a rumour.
Police have appealed to the citizens, students of the
schools and their parents no to be panicked by such rumours. Security officials
are handling the situation carefully.
Search for the source of threatening e-mail is in
progress.
