The first introductory meeting of the newly appointed national team of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will be held on August 22, 2026, at the party’s central office here.

According to sources, the meeting will be chaired by BJP National President Nitin Nabin. Newly appointed national vice-presidents, general secretaries, secretaries and other national office-bearers are expected to attend the meeting. It will be the first major organisational programme following the formation of the new team, providing an opportunity for all office-bearers to formally familiarise themselves with one another. The primary objective of the meeting is to establish better coordination and greater synergy among members of the new team.

Discussions are also likely to focus on the party’s upcoming organisational programmes, responsibilities and preparations for elections.

According to sources, the national office-bearers will be briefed on their respective responsibilities and the organisation’s priorities. Deliberations may also be held on strategies to further strengthen the party’s organisational network up to the booth level in view of the upcoming elections.

The new national team, formed under the leadership of Nitin Nabin, has placed emphasis on maintaining a balance between young and experienced leaders. Against this backdrop, the August 22 meeting is considered significant for determining the division of responsibilities and setting the organisational direction of the new team.

Following the meeting, the BJP’s national team is expected to take a more active role in implementing the party’s upcoming programmes and election preparations.
