MOSCOW, August 17 (HS/RIA Novosti) - Ghana and Russia have agreed to cooperate in the field of peace and security, including providing support to the countries of the Sahel region, Ghanaian Foreign Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa said on Monday.
In our discussion today, we also agreed that we will work on peace and security. You know that the situation in the Sahel is becoming very difficult. It is a global epicenter of terrorism and violent extremism. And we agreed that we would cooperate with Russia to help our brothers and sisters in Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger, Ablakwa told a joint press conference with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Moscow.
