
Bhubaneswar, 17 August (H.S.): Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi congratulated all newly appointed members of the BJP’s national team, with special greetings to senior Odisha leaders Baijayant Panda and Dr Sambit Patra on their new organisational responsibilities.
In a social media post, Majhi said the new national team brings together organisational ability, ideological commitment, experience and youthful energy, which would further strengthen and energise the BJP’s nation-building efforts.
Panda, a former MP and prominent BJP leader from Odisha, has been appointed National Vice-President of the party. His elevation to the key organisational position is significant for Odisha, giving the state a prominent representation in the BJP’s central leadership.
Dr Sambit Patra, another senior BJP leader from Odisha and a prominent national spokesperson, has been appointed North East Coordinator. The responsibility involves organisational coordination across the northeastern states, an important region for the BJP’s expansion and consolidation.
Majhi extended special congratulations to both Panda and Patra, wishing them a successful and distinguished tenure.
He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the guidance of BJP National President Nitin Nabin, the newly constituted team would work with the resolve of ‘Nation First’ towards achieving the goal of a ‘Developed India’.
The Chief Minister also conveyed his best wishes to all members of the new national team and expressed confidence that their collective experience and organisational capabilities would contribute to strengthening the party’s national mission.
