New Delhi, 17 August (H.S.): A major update has emerged regarding actor Barun Sobti’s upcoming project ‘Babita Singh Reporting’. After recently appearing in the web series ‘Operation Safed Sagar’, Sobti is now set to return to the screen with this investigative drama. The makers have announced the project’s global release and unveiled its first poster. The film also stars Nimisha Sajayan and Anshuman Pushkar in key roles alongside Sobti.

Directed by Ambieka Pandit and written by Amita Vyas, ‘Babita Singh Reporting’ has been produced by Saurabh Malhotra, Manuj Mitra and Tina Tharwani under the banner of Film Squad Productions.

The story revolves around Babita Singh, popularly known as ‘Baby’, a woman police officer who is repeatedly underestimated by both her department and society. However, the narrative takes a dramatic turn after she is suspended while investigating a murder.

Alongside the murder investigation, the film also explores Babita’s personal life and family struggles, making them an integral part of the storyline. ‘Babita Singh Reporting’ will premiere globally on Amazon Prime Video on August 28, 2026, making it available to audiences worldwide.
