New Delhi, 15 August (H.S.): The Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple in the National Capital Region celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day on Saturday. A special programme was organised on the temple premises, during which saints saluted the national flag and paid tribute to the brave freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the country’s independence.

During the programme, prayers were offered for the unity and integrity of the nation, as well as for India’s continued progress and a bright future. The saints conveyed a message of national service, unity and development.

The programme also honoured the memory of the valiant freedom fighters who laid down their lives for India’s independence. Emphasis was placed on dedication to the nation and the collective responsibility of strengthening the country’s unity and integrity.
