BENGHAZI, August 14 (HS/RIA Novosti) - Ukrainian instructors recruit and train people from African countries to use them against Russia, a source in Libya's law enforcement in the country's east told RIA Novosti.

Earlier, Libyan media published an appeal from a Sudanese activist who said that citizens of Sudan and other African countries are being recruited in Libya under the guise of security work, after which they are forced to undergo military training and sent to fight in Ukraine and Mali.

The information disseminated by the Sudanese journalist is no secret. Indeed, there are training centers in Tajura, as well as in the area of ​​the airport road in the capital, Tripoli. In addition, there is the At-Tikbali training center. Ukrainian specialists, who participated in the development of training programs and mechanisms, and shared their experience in the use of attack drones, are stationed at these facilities, the source said.

According to the source, trained militants could be used against both Russia's interests in Africa and Ukraine.

Currently, Libya has two governments that do not recognize each other. The first, supported by the UN and led by Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh, is based in Tripoli. In the east of the country, a parliament-approved government led by Osama Hammad operates, supported by the Libyan National Army under the command of Khalifa Haftar.

This dual power situation arose as a result of the events of March 2011, when NATO countries began striking Libya, supporting armed rebels. The two sides are negotiating a unification of the army and other state institutions.
