Guwahati, 14 August (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday paid tribute to all those who lost their lives or suffered during the Partition of India, marking Partition Horrors Remembrance Day.
In a social media post, Sarma said he paid heartfelt homage to every person who sacrificed their life or was affected by the “horrors of Partition” allegedly triggered by the Muslim League’s divisive politics.
He expressed hope that forces that sought to divide India for their vested interests would be defeated.----------
