
Guwahati, 13 August (HS): ONGC Chairman and CEO Arun Kumar Singh met Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday to discuss targeted relief, rehabilitation and infrastructure restoration for flood-affected communities across Upper Assam.
During the meeting, ONGC committed ₹25 crore towards Assam's flood recovery efforts. Of the total amount, ₹5 crore will be contributed to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund, while ₹20 crore will be used to rebuild more than 700 schools damaged by the floods.
Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma appreciated ONGC's continued support and partnership in the state's recovery efforts. He stressed the need for swift, coordinated and people-centric interventions to restore critical infrastructure and provide support to affected families.
