Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday inaugurated a two-lane slip road bridge connecting the Ghazipur Drain with the Hindon Canal, a project aimed at improving connectivity and easing traffic congestion in several parts of the national capital.

Delhi BJP president and Union Minister of State Harsh Malhotra, Delhi Public Works Department Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh, and MLAs Ravindra Negi and Ravikant, along with BJP district president Vijendra Dhama, were present at the inauguration ceremony.

In a post on X, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said the new connectivity would make daily commuting easier for lakhs of residents in Kondli, Kalyanpuri, Ghazipur and adjoining areas while helping reduce traffic pressure in the region.

She said the project reflects the government’s efforts to ensure that development in Delhi translates into tangible improvements in people’s everyday lives.

The Chief Minister added that her government was working continuously to improve the quality of life of Delhi residents through better roads, smoother traffic movement and modern transportation connectivity.
