Hooghly, 13 August (H.S.): A ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ rally was organised in Balagarh Assembly constituency on Thursday ahead of Independence Day, with the aim of spreading the message of patriotism and national unity. West Bengal minister Sumana Sarkar participated in the rally.

The rally began at Jirat Kaliyagarh More and proceeded to the Balagarh BDO office. Party workers, supporters and local residents participated in the procession carrying the national flag.

The rally sought to promote respect for the national flag and convey messages of patriotism, national unity and integrity among the people.

Minister Sumana Sarkar said she felt proud to participate in the programme at the direction of Chief Minister Shubhendu Adhikari. She said such programmes were being organised to strengthen the spirit of patriotism and national unity ahead of Independence Day.

A patriotic atmosphere prevailed in the area as a large number of people joined the procession carrying the Tricolour.
