New Delhi, 13 August (H.S.): Gold prices continued their upward trend in the bullion market on Thursday, with the precious metal trading higher during early transactions. In most bullion markets across the country, excluding Chennai, gold prices increased by Rs 1,000 to Rs 10,400 per 10 grams. In Chennai, prices rose by Rs 500 to Rs 5,400 per 10 grams.

In contrast, spot silver prices recorded a marginal decline of up to Rs 200 per kilogram during early trading.

Following the latest movement in prices, 24-carat gold was trading between Rs 1,54,870 and Rs 1,55,020 per 10 grams in most major bullion markets. Similarly, 22-carat gold was available in the range of Rs 1,41,960 to Rs 1,42,110 per 10 grams.

In Delhi, 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,55,020 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold stood at Rs 1,42,110 per 10 grams. Silver, meanwhile, was quoted at Rs 2,54,900 per kilogram in the Delhi bullion market following its marginal decline.

In Mumbai, the country’s financial capital, 24-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,54,870 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold stood at Rs 1,41,960 per 10 grams.

In Ahmedabad, the retail price of 24-carat gold was recorded at Rs 1,54,920 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,42,010 per 10 grams.

In Chennai, 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,54,920 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at Rs 1,42,010 per 10 grams. In Kolkata, 24-carat gold stood at Rs 1,54,870 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was quoted at Rs 1,41,960 per 10 grams.

In Bhopal, 24-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,54,920 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold stood at Rs 1,42,010 per 10 grams. Jaipur recorded prices of Rs 1,55,020 per 10 grams for 24-carat gold and Rs 1,42,110 per 10 grams for 22-carat gold.

In Patna, 24-carat gold was available at Rs 1,54,920 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,42,010 per 10 grams. In Lucknow, 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,55,020 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at Rs 1,42,110 per 10 grams.

Gold prices also registered a strong rise in the bullion markets of Karnataka, Telangana and Odisha during early trading. In the state capitals Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Bhubaneswar, 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,54,870 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was quoted at Rs 1,41,960 per 10 grams.

The latest movement indicates continued strength in gold prices, while silver remained comparatively subdued during the opening phase of Thursday’s trading.
