Lucknow, 13 Aug (HS): ABVP karyakaratas staged a protest in Lucknow on

Thursday against the brutal lathi charge on students in Jharkhand who were

demanding a CBI probe into alleged irregularities and paper leaks in the JPSC

and JSSC CGL examinations. ABVP Lucknow Mahanagar activists gathered near the

Gandhi statue at Hazratganj GPO and raised slogans against the Jharkhand

government. They later burnt an effigy of Chief Minister Hemant Soren at

Hazratganj crossing.

ABVP karyakaratas said that serious allegations of corruption, examination

irregularities and paper leaks have emerged in the JPSC and JSSC CGL

examinations. They strongly condemned the police action against students who

were peacefully raising their concerns and demanding a transparent

investigation.

ABVP State Secretary Arpan Kushwaha said, “The Jharkhand government should

listen to students raising their concerns through democratic means instead of

using force against them. ABVP strongly condemns the brutal lathi charge on

students and demands a CBI investigation into the alleged paper leaks and

irregularities. The government must take strict action against those

responsible and ensure that such incidents do not recur.”

ABVP Lucknow Mahanagar Minister Secretary Pandey said, “Students are facing

the consequences of irregularities in the examination system, while the

government is responding to their legitimate concerns with a lathi charge.

Through today’s protest, we demand that the Jharkhand government immediately

address the demands of the protesting students and take strict action against

those responsible for irregularities in the examination process.”
