(HS): Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT), Nagpur has

introduced physical fitness parameter for campus interviews. The training and

Placement Department of VNIT is of the opinion that the companies selecting

students through campus interviews should get all details including physical

fitness of the candidates. The fitness certificates would be a part of the

students’ biodata.

Those who enrol

for the campus interviews will have to undergo the tests in which night

blindness, Body-Mass Index, blood pressure etc will be conducted. The students

will have to undergo test for their physical efficiency which include walking,

running push-ups, crunches etc.

The Biomedical

Engineering Department is working on whether the students can work for long

hours in the corporate world. The data is being analysed by the experts in the

department of VNIT.
