Bhubaneswar, 10 August (H.S.): Senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers Sanjeeb Panda and Yeshwant Kumar Jethwa have been promoted to the rank of Director General of Police (DGP), marking a significant advancement in their careers.

The proposal for their elevation was approved by Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Monday, according to official sources.

Both officers are among the senior-most IPS officials in the state cadre and have held key positions in various capacities. Their promotion to the DGP grade follows due process and comes after the state government’s formal approval.

The promotions will take effect as per the relevant government notifications, officials said.
