Imphal, 01 August (HS): Manipur Director General of Police (DGP) Mukesh Singh, IPS, on Saturday visited the 2nd Battalion of the Manipur Rifles in Imphal to review infrastructure, security arrangements and operational preparedness. He was accompanied by the ADGP (Law & Order/AP/Intelligence).

During the visit, the DGP inspected the Unit's Quarter Guard, the under-construction Manipur Police Research Institute, Recreation Hall, barracks, Parade Ground and the Jawans' Mess.

He also interacted with battalion officials and reviewed key issues, including strengthening the unit's security, rationalisation of existing manpower deployment and the construction of new barracks to replace old and dilapidated buildings. The visit focused on improving infrastructure and enhancing the operational efficiency of the battalion.---------
