
Bhubaneswar, 01 August (H.S.): Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman after the Union Government released an additional advance instalment of ₹1,09,019 crore as tax devolution to states.
Odisha has received ₹4,819 crore as its share, over and above the regular monthly devolution scheduled for August 2026.
The Chief Minister stated that this timely financial support will significantly strengthen the state’s development initiatives, accelerate capital expenditure, and ensure effective implementation of key infrastructure and public welfare programmes. He added that the additional funds will further boost Odisha’s vision of becoming a prosperous and developed state.
Majhi thanked the Prime Minister and the Union Finance Minister for their continued support and commitment towards Odisha’s growth and the overall progress of its people.
