Union Minister JP Nadda Arrives in Hyderabad, to Review AIIMS Bibinagar; BJP Welcomes Tadicherla Coal Block

Hyderabad, July 9 (HS): Union Health and Family Welfare Minister J.P. Nadda arrived in Hyderabad on Thursday on a day-long visit and was accorded a grand welcome at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) by Telangana BJP leaders, including state BJP president N. Ramchander Rao and Union Coal and Mines Minister G. Kishan Reddy.

During his visit, Nadda is scheduled to review the progress of AIIMS Bibinagar. Later in the evening, he will address a gathering of intellectuals and prominent citizens in Hyderabad before departing for New Delhi.

Welcoming the Union Minister, Ramchander Rao said the visit reflects the Centre's continued commitment to strengthening healthcare infrastructure in Telangana.

Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy, who also arrived in Hyderabad, was welcomed by BJP workers and Singareni employees following the Centre's decision to allot the Tadicherla-2 coal block to the Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL).

Expressing gratitude to the workers, Kishan Reddy said strengthening Singareni and safeguarding the welfare of its employees remained a priority of the Central government. He described the allocation of the Tadicherla-2 coal block as a significant step towards securing the future of SCCL.

Ramchander Rao termed the allotment a historic decision and said it reflected the Modi government's commitment to Telangana's development and the growth of Singareni.

Earlier, Kishan Reddy had announced that the Centre had allotted the Tadicherla-2 coal block to SCCL.

Meanwhile, Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka welcomed the allocation of the coal block while criticising the previous BRS government for allegedly failing to secure new coal blocks for SCCL during its tenure.

Addressing the media, Bhatti questioned whether the previous government had obtained even a single new coal block or replacement mining areas despite expanding the Bhadradri and Yadadri thermal power projects. He said participation in the Centre's coal block auctions could have helped secure additional coal resources and royalty revenue for Telangana.
