Lucknow, 09 July (HS): Danish Azad Ansari, Uttar Pradesh

Minister of State for Minority Welfare, said the inclusion of two Hindus on the

Madhya Pradesh Waqf Board was consistent with the Waqf Amendment Act and would

guarantee openness and better administration of Waqf holdings. On Sunday,

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav reorganized the state Waqf Board,

which now includes two Hindu members. The new board, constituted under the Waqf

(Amendment) Act of 2025, is the country's first state-level Waqf Board to

include Hindu members. According to Ansari, the new law calls for expanded

participation on Waqf boards, including Pasmanda Muslims, women, individuals

from all sections of the Muslim community, and non-Muslims.

Uttar Pradesh Minority Welfare Minister Danish Ansari stated

that the Waqf Amendment Act will be implemented in Uttar Pradesh as well.

Responding to the implementation of the Waqf Amendment Act in Madhya Pradesh,

Danish Azad Ansari, Minister of State for Minority Welfare, Government of Uttar

Pradesh, stated that in the coming time, the Waqf Amendment Act will be

implemented in accordance with the rules, regulations, and bylaws in Uttar

Pradesh as well as the entire country.

He stated that the Modi government has introduced the Waqf

Amendment Bill to ensure better maintenance of Waqf properties. The Waqf

Amendment Act 2024 has introduced several positive changes, which will have a

positive impact on the functioning of the Board. He added that these amendments

will ensure the representation of backward Pasmanda Muslims, women, and various

sections of the Muslim community in the formation of the new Waqf Board. Furthermore,

the Board will also include two non-Muslim members.

Speaking to reporters in Ballia district, Uttar Pradesh, he

also launched a scathing attack on the Congress Party. The Yogi Government

minister further stated that, as per the provisions of the Waqf Amendment

introduced by the central government, the formation of boards is proposed in

all states, including Madhya Pradesh. Its purpose is to ensure a transparent

system and smooth management of Waqfs. This Act will be applicable throughout

the country, and it is mandatory for every state to adopt it. Once a board is

formed in Uttar Pradesh, it will be implemented in accordance with the rules

and regulations.

Responding to the Congress Party's move to the Supreme Court

regarding the Waqf Amendment Act, Danish Azad Ansari stated that the Congress

Party has never been in a hurry to develop the country. He alleged that after

independence in 1947, the Congress party did nothing to advance the country's

infrastructure and, while in power, only encouraged corruption and terrorism.
