Police achieved another major success against drug trafficking by apprehending

an inter-state drug peddler during routine naka checking at Battal Naka,

Majalta. A vehicle coming from Ramkot towards Battal was intercepted and

subjected to search.

The

accused was identified as Sharif son of Mannu Khan of Nawapind, Amritsar, and

Punjab during the search of the vehicle bearing Registration number DL3CCA-0840,

635 grams of heroin (Chitta), falling under commercial quantity, was recovered

from his possession.

The

vehicle used for transporting the contraband has also been seized.

In

this connection, FIR No. 113/2026 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at

Police Station Majalta and further investigation is underway.
